Starting Enfield Psychological Assessment Services, Inc. was not a sudden decision. It was the natural evolution of years of clinical work, reflection, and a growing desire to provide something more intentional for the families I serve.
Throughout my career as a psychologist, I have worked in systems that required efficiency, structure, and high standards. I am deeply grateful for that foundation. It sharpened my clinical skills, strengthened my diagnostic judgment, and reinforced the importance of thorough, evidence-based assessment.
But over time, I felt increasingly drawn toward something more personal. I wanted the space to slow down. To think deeply. To provide comprehensive psychological evaluations that were not rushed, abbreviated, or shaped by institutional constraints.
I wanted families to feel seen, not processed. Enfield Psychological was created from that vision.
The Moment I Knew
There wasn’t a single dramatic turning point. Instead, there were repeated moments. Parents who felt confused after brief school testing. High-achieving students quietly struggling with anxiety. Bright children labeled as “lazy” when they were actually overwhelmed. Adults who had spent years wondering why things felt harder for them than for others.
What I saw, again and again, was the power of clarity. When someone finally understands how their brain works, when a family receives thoughtful, comprehensive feedback grounded in data and compassion, the shift is profound.
I wanted to build a practice centered on that moment of clarity.
A Different Kind of Evaluation Experience
Comprehensive psychological evaluations are not just about scores and diagnoses. They are about understanding patterns, strengths, vulnerabilities, and context.
When I founded Enfield Psychological, I made several commitments to myself and to the families I would serve:
Every evaluation would be personalized.
Every family would receive my full attention.
Every report would be thorough, clear, and practical.
Every recommendation would be realistic and actionable.
As a solo provider serving North County San Diego, I conduct each part of the evaluation process myself. From intake to testing to feedback. Families are not handed off between clinicians. The process is cohesive, thoughtful, and carefully integrated.
This allows me to truly know the individuals I evaluate — not just their test profiles.
The Importance of Being Both Expert and Human
Psychological testing requires rigor. It requires training, precision, and careful interpretation of complex data. But it also requires humanity. Families who seek evaluations are often feeling worried, frustrated, or uncertain. Children may already feel discouraged. Adults may carry years of self-doubt.
My goal is to hold both expertise and warmth in the room. To ask careful questions. To notice subtle patterns. To interpret data responsibly. And to communicate findings in a way that is understandable and empowering.
I believe you can be scientifically grounded and deeply compassionate at the same time.
Serving North County San Diego Families
North County San Diego is home to thoughtful, engaged families who want to understand and support their children well. Whether parents are seeking ADHD testing, learning disability evaluations, anxiety assessment, or diagnostic clarification, they are often looking for more than a label. They are looking for insight. They are looking for someone who will take the time to understand the full picture. Enfield Psychological Assessment Services, Inc. was built to meet that need.
More Than a Report
The written report matters. It may support a 504 Plan, an IEP, workplace accommodations, or access to services. But what matters most to me is the shift that happens during feedback.
When a parent says, “That makes sense.”
Or when a teenager says, “So I’m not just bad at school?”
When an adult says, “I wish I had known this sooner.”
Those moments are why I do this work.
A Practice Built on Intention
Starting Enfield Psychological Assessment Services, Inc. allowed me to create a practice that reflects my values:
Thorough, evidence-based assessment
Individualized care
Clear communication
Respect for each person’s story
Thoughtful collaboration with families and schools
This practice represents not just a professional milestone, but a commitment to doing this work carefully and thoughtfully.
If You’re Considering an Evaluation
If you are exploring a comprehensive psychological evaluation for yourself or your child, I understand that reaching out can feel like a big step.
My hope is that Enfield Psychological Assessment Services, Inc. feels different: calm, thoughtful, and grounded in expertise.
Clarity can be transformative. Understanding can be relieving. And the right information can change the trajectory of a child, a student, or an adult. That is why I started this practice.
Looking Ahead
The journey of launching Enfield Psychological Assessment Services, Inc. continues with a commitment to growth and learning. Plans include expanding services to reach more clients and offering workshops to educate the community about psychological health and accommodations.
