This helps to clarify a diagnosis, identify personal strengths and challenges, and inform necessary supports for success at school or in the workplace.

Psychoeducational Assessment

Assessment of academic skills, cognitive abilities, and learning profiles to identify specific learning disorders and inform school-based supports and accommodations. Helping to identify whether you have a Learning Disability, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), or another Mental Health diagnosis that affects your ability to succeed in school without accommodations. Providing you with a full evaluation that meets the specific requirements of your school or university (these requirements vary from school to school).

ADHD Evaluation

In-depth cognitive evaluation focusing on attention regulation and executive functioning strengths.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

A comprehensive assessment investigating social communication patterns and neurodevelopmental history. Information is gathered through multiple forms of assessment, including parent interviews, observations, behavioral rating scales, and direct assessment with the client.

Neuropsychological Assessment

Comprehensive evaluation of cognitive, learning, and executive functioning to clarify complex diagnostic questions and guide tailored recommendations. Identify unique patterns and abnormalities in your brain's functioning that may result from aging, a Traumatic Brain Injury (e.g., head injury, stroke, or seizure), substance use, and lasting effects of chemotherapy or radiation.

Mood & Anxiety Disorders

Evaluating co-occurring anxiety or depressive states often linked to neurodivergent traits. Gain insight about yourself, your personality, and the way you view and interact with the world.

Introduction.

I am Dr. Danielle Enfield, a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in diagnostic evaluations that empower neurodivergent children, adolescents, and adults. With deep expertise in psychological assessment, my practice is dedicated to providing clarity for those of all ages navigating Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, learning differences, and mood or anxiety concerns.

My approach is rooted in warmth, collaboration, and a strengths-based perspective. I believe that a psychological assessment is more than a list of findings—it is a valuable roadmap for understanding yourself or your child. We work together to identify unique neurodivergent profiles, highlighting both challenges and inherent strengths to foster success at school, in the workplace, and beyond. My goal is not only to clarify diagnoses, but to help individuals and families understand the why behind the patterns they’ve experienced — and to leave with practical, meaningful direction.

“Dr. Danielle provided the clarity we had been searching for. Her expertise and warmth made the assessment process comfortable for our whole family. We finally have a roadmap that feels both practical and supportive.”

— M.R., Parent of a 10-year-old

Frequently Asked Questions

Why would someone request a psychological assessment?

Requesting a psychological assessment is a proactive step toward understanding an individual's unique cognitive and emotional profile. It can help clarify a diagnosis, identify personal strengths and challenges, and inform necessary supports for success at school or in the workplace. Certain diagnoses may allow the client the use of accommodations from educational bodies at various levels, including grade school, college, and University. Colleges and universities often require a recent academic testing report signed by a licensed psychologist in order for a student to receive accommodations. Moreover, these evaluations guide effective treatment planning and empower families to better understand and support a child's developmental needs.

What’s included with my evaluation?

Each evaluation includes a comprehensive clinical interview, standardized testing tailored to your concerns, scoring and interpretation of all measures, a detailed written report with diagnoses (if applicable) and recommendations, and a dedicated feedback session to review the results and next steps.

What should I expect during the initial assessment?

The process begins with a comprehensive clinical interview to gather detailed developmental and health history. Following this, I conduct standardized testing sessions tailored to your specific goals, ensuring a clear path toward understanding and support.

How long does it take to receive the final report?

Typically, a comprehensive report is finalized within 4 to 6 weeks after the completion of all testing sessions. This timeline allows me to carefully analyze all data and synthesize a detailed profile with actionable recommendations for schools and universities.

Do you provide assessments across all ages?

Yes, I specialize in neurodevelopmental assessments for children, adolescents, and adults. My empathetic approach is adapted to each individual's stage of life, focusing on clarity and empowerment for families navigating neurodiversity.

What happens during the feedback session?

The feedback session is a dedicated time to review results together. I'll explain findings in clear language, discuss strengths and challenges, and provide a comprehensive plan for next steps. You will also be provided with a full testing report written by a licensed psychologist.

Do you take insurance?

No, I do not bill insurance directly. I can provide an itemized superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. I accept cash, check, debit card, credit card, and EFT for payment.

Where are your services offered?

I provide services throughout North County San Diego. Most evaluations are completed in the client’s home, allowing the individual, child, and/or families to participate in the assessment process in a comfortable and familiar environment. If an in-home visit is not appropriate or possible, I arrange a private office space in a convenient location for the client.
